BendyStraw An app for managing NewPipe databases. BendyStraw imports NewPipeData-*.zip files and lets you: Open multiple zips at the same time, so you can combine data from several devices Delete Copy Move Rename your custom playlists Delete Copy Move streams from one playlist to another Delete Copy Move channel subscriptions between databases Delete Copy Move remote (bookmarked) playlists Re-order playlists, sorting the streams by Title, Channel or Length (just tap the column headings in the tables) Shuffle or reverse playlists Create new playlists Drag and drop tracks to re-order playlists After editing simply export a new zip file, then import it back into NewPipe. Import/export playlists: Streams (audio/video) can be opened directly from BendyStraw, as the URLs are clickable If you set video links (in your Android settings) to open in NewPipe you can make a split-screen view and jump around your playlists Export playlist as raw text, for example to be used with yt-dlp Import playlists from JSON (the button to do this is hidden by default, go to the settings menu to show it) Open as a temporary YouTube playlist in your browser Depending on your device settings YouTube might open in your browser or a web view or something else... to find out how to configure this do a web search for 'android set default apps' Dark/light themes Search your watch history to build new playlists Search through your watch history Results are displayed in a special search playlist and can be copied into other playlists Note about Permissions On Android 13+ BendyStraw asks for the manage external storage permission, here's why: A typical use-case for this app is to open several zip files, concurrently, from multiple locations including Download directories (these files would be, for example, multiple NewPipe exports from multiple devices, which you want to combine). Each zip is extracted so that its contained newpipe.db SQLite database can be read/written while you are editing. After editing, the extracted files are written back to a new zip, and/or overwrite the original zips. I aim to minimise the permissions I request in everything I build. Android 13 introduced changes to make doing what I decribed above difficult. I explored alternative methods requiring fewer permissions and felt that it compromised the user experience for my (as the app's first user) typical usage, making it more complicated and annoying. I treat users as responsible human beings, so give you this info to allow you to make an informed choice. This Xposed module sorts Bluetooth devices by name instead of last connected to get a stable order. Takes effect in the settings app and the media device picker.

This application aims to create a unified internet quick-settings tile, which is actually useful (I'm looking at you, Android 12). Next to this, separate Wi-Fi and mobile data tiles are also available if you just want to go back to the behaviour of Android 11 or lower. Tapping the new unified internet tile will simply toggle between Wi-Fi and mobile data, which is exactly what I want it to do most of the time. This reduces the amount of taps needed from 3 (tap tile, disable wifi, enable data) to just 1 quick tap. In situations where you still want more control, long pressing the tile will redirect you to the relevant settings page.

This Xposed module makes the verbose Wi-Fi information (enabled in the developer settings) more readable, adds some and hides some useless information.Without the module, it is all one long line that gets wrapped at your screen to make it fit.With the module, it is split into multiple lines: one for the general status info, one for each network. In parentheses, you find the channel number because that is usually more interesting than the frequency itself. Everything that has units now displays those units. What you don't see is that elements that belong together have no break spaces between them so that they are always displayed in one line next to each other.

Reading in His Word is a particularly suitable possibility for it. For some time, there have also been practical apps with various Bible translations for reading and studying, reading schedules, prayers and much more. An old custom is the so-called “Bibelstechen” (Bible drawing), in which the Bible is simply opened and a verse or chapter is read at the Bible passage that has been struck in this way. This app is designed to offer a practical alternative for this kind of Bible drawing: If you touch onto the "Touch me" button, a book with chapter indication appears. To read this drawn Bible chapter you can use a Bible app of your choice or read it in your paper Bible. Bibledit: Now translation teams can edit Scripture on any device! Here’s a quick list of capabilities that Bibledit provides for Bible translation teams today: Bibledit has much of the same functionality of Paratext, but it works on any smart device — including all types of computers and tablets and phones. A translation team can work with Bibledit via the Internet without installing anything. We call this the Cloud version. But for most translation team members, it will be better to install Bibledit locally. This is called the Client version. The Client version saves editing changes made by each team member to his/her device, and when they have an connection, their work will automatically be saved to the Cloud. Many excellent and scholarly translation resources available in Bibledit. And one can view translation resources while editing a translation on the same screen. Bibledit can port changes in a Bible text over to a local instance of Paratext. I think many translation team leaders will want to do this. But the opposite is also possible: Bibledit can receive Bible texts from Paratext. Bibledit has many powerful export options. These include creating web-ready HTML files, beautifully formatted OpenOffice files (which then can easily be turned into PDF files), and Sword modules for Bible-reading applications on all smart devices.
