A2DP Volume vs RTSP IP-Cam Viewer
Side-by-side comparison of two open source alternatives
A2DP Volume
Automatically adjusts the media volume on connect and resets it on disconnect. This is done so that stereo streaming audio can work properly. Intended primarily for car Bluetooth systems. It can read out text messages using Text To Speech (TTS) services while you are connected. Each paired Bluetooth device or virtual device (home dock, car dock, power connection, or headset plug) can be configured to your liking. There is a manual on the website. A secondary feature is the ability to capture location information so you can find where you left your car. The location can also be automatically captured when exiting Car Mode on your Android device and read by any app that understands GPS data.
RTSP IP-Cam Viewer
RTSP IP-Cam Viewer is an Android app to watch RTSP video streams; this format is typical of inexpensive IP security cams.Goals:an extremely light-weight open-source app with minimal features and minimal UIability to add video streams (including via import of JSON text files)display of enabled video streams in list- and grid-view, full-screen view of a single high-res video streamNotes:this app does not require the latest Android versions, so your old device can be put to a new purpose with thiswhen videos are displayed in list/grid views: audio is mute; click to open video in full-screen view; long click to toggle pause/playwhen a video is displayed in full-screen view: audio is not mute; controls are visible
