NoProvider2Push vs Plug Off Airplane
Side-by-side comparison of two open source alternatives
NoProvider2Push
NoProvider2Push is a UnifiedPush distributor able to provide push notifications without a push provider. It's a pretty niche UnifiedPush distributor mostly useful for development purposes and advanced users at this moment. To work, it needs a static address even with the roaming. It is achievable with a custom network such as a VPN (eg. wireguard) or the yggdrasil network. For more information about UnifiedPush, visit https://unifiedpush.org
Plug Off Airplane
This is a very simple app that turns off Airplane Mode when the USB cable is plugged in. The idea is to make sure Airplane Mode is turned off at least once a day, in a safe location in terms of metadata: the home. Your telecom already knows your device belongs to its billing address. This makes it easier to use Airplane Mode to disable the cellular radio during the day, when it is not needed.
